How do you find out how many connections you can have on a tplink a1900 router? I have three computers, 3 tablets, 2 smartphones, 1 printer, a smart tv connected. I'm trying to connect a new printer. Network shows it's connected but router show no internet connection.

That number of devices shouldn't be a problem for any current router. You can double check the number of DHCP clients allowed in the admin pages of the router. That is usually the limit.
