I set the multiplier to 42 this morning hoping to get a CPU speed of 4.2 GHz without changing any voltages. I ran some stress tests for a while with no errors and no temperature issues but task manager says it is running at 4.8-5 GHz? https://gyazo.com/848e78fe4fe1029b8ae274c024ae41fb . Is it just a glitch or is it actually running at 5 GHz? Is there another way of checking?
On another note, will the overclock to 4.2 GHz affect the longevity of the processor if I don't change the core voltage?
