Hello!
I like to buy an cooler for my I7-4790K to OC it to above 4.5.
My mobo is Asus maximum vii formula and my ram is corsairvengeance pro 16gb 2400Mhz.
I like to showcase my case so I want one for look and performance.
I don't like aio liquid cooler for their pump failure and only lasting 3 to 4 years.
I live in hot place were the temperature goes above 40°C.
My case is phanteks enthoo luxe.
My budget is 200$ Max or little bit higher.

Solution

According to the Techpowerup review the D15 is both cooler and quieter than the Phanteks: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Noctua/NH-D15/6.html

RE Compatibility, I'm not sure about the Phanteks but Noctua maintain an extensive compatibility list and your Forumla vii board has a big green tick - meaning no issues with PCIe slot clearance: http://noctua.at/en/products/cpu-cooler-retail/nh-d15/comp

You can find the RAM compatibility list on their site too, worth checking that.

But I hate aio liquid cooler because one time they did fail on me and got leaked all over my old PC.
My old PC used to have corsair h100i

Was there something about not wanting a AIO liquid cooler you missed? Also hate to be the spelling police but its spelled good not gud.

OP, for a good air cooler I'd look at the Cryorig R1, Phanteks PH-TC14PE, and the Noctua D15. They are massive but work very well and are among the best air coolers you can buy.

I have used the Phanteks and its a great cooler but I also bought it long before Cryorig was around, If I had to choose now I'd go for the Cryorig. Both cool well but I think the Cryorig looks better.

I'm with @bignastyid. There are cheaper air-cooler options that will probably serve you well, but if you have the budget, those big-air coolers are fantastic.

Of those I'd say the Noctua NH-D15 is the pick. Performance, mounting and build quality are top of the line and Noctua has historically posted out mounting kits absolutely free of charge to customers building a new rig requiring a new mount. Might be worthwhile if you're planning on upgrading in a few years time.
While the Noctua comes with some of the best fans on the market, they only offer their standard beige and brown, which may not be your thing. It's also difficult to justify replacing them because you have to spend a good chunk of cash (probably more than an entire entry level air cooler) to get a pair of fans of comparable quality.
That might push you towards the Phanteks or Cryorig options.

missed the "dont"...ship happens :p
the cryorig and the noctua shd be ideal then...

@jlr01,@rhysiam and @bignastyid.
Just two questions about the top cooler will the phanteks ph-14 block my first pci-e same goes for the nh-15 and will they block my motherboard?

Phanteks seem to be little bit better than nh-d15 by 2-3°C

Corsair makes Power Supplies and Cases, they don't do GPUs (maybe except for the MSI Sea Hawk) or Motherboards, and no they won't give you anything like that. Have you reported to Corsair about the incident when it happened? They may offer compensation (Like replacing your cooler & the busted parts).

It is certainly better than AIO's because you can secure all connections yourself, and it can be taken apart and flushed at regular intervals (I do recommend adding a quick-drain into any custom loop).

That said, it is also important to keep in mind that all systems under water will have the chance of leaks. If the water part is something that concerns you, then I do recommend just going for a great air cooler.

To be honest, I haven't encountered anything like this yet. But since it is their product that caused the damage, I would have told them to take responsibility for giving you a defective product.
