I was cleaning the residue of Thermal paste off of the edge of the cpu socket and a part of my finger lightly brushed a few pins, none are bent from what I can see, will it still work D:
Noone can answer that as we can't visably see the socket. I suspect the answer is yes, but how can we know?
Ok so I put my cpu in, all working fine nice and stable, would you say its safe to overclock it? Will me touching the cpu socket effect the other components such as my 1080.
About as safe as normal to overclock I would say. If you're really worried, run a stress test like prime95, and get something to monitor temperatures, before you overclock. Unless your finger left something like lint on the pins, which you'll find out if you benchmark because the temp will jump up, you're fine, but I doubt it would boot if that were the case.
