My computer started black screening after booting, specifically the windows 10 loading screen would come up the dots would spin around then halt mid spin and display a black screen. I couldn't get into safe mode and (like a dummy) I didn't have a restore point. I decided to just do a clean install of windows 10. This has worked up to a point, I can use my computer but when I try to install my graphics card driver it either installs and I get a black screen when i reboot or I get a blue screen in the middle of the installation (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION) I tried using DDU it didn't help. I have not been installing the 3D vision stuff or the HD audio driver. I'm not using hdmi.

msi z87 mpower max
Intel i5-4670
GTX 780 ti
Windows 10 64 bit

Edit: could this be a problem with the graphics card itself?

Solution
Yes it may be a bad card, or a bad power supply, maybe bad motherboard PCIe slot.

Best way to test things is to try the card in another system, if issue follows card, bad card.
