Hello there!

I have been having this problem for a few months now, but didn't find a solution yet. Recently I started using this desktop more and more again and it's becoming very annoying that when I am playing a game [doesn't have to be an intense one] that after a certain amount of time [can be 10 minutes, can be 12 hours] suddenly the computer will do a full reboot, with or without bluescreen [varies].

The computer was upgraded three years ago and the problems already started occuring shortly after this upgrade. Setup was completely new, except for the videocard, took the old one from my old computer as it was a very decent one for it's time.

My setup:
- CPU: AMD FX-8150 Black Edition
- GPU: AMD Radeon 4850 X2 series <- the only thing I didn't replace back in the day, will be doing that soon once I know what the issue is [looking for an upgrade]
- RAM: 2x4GB.
- PSU: Coolermaster GX Lite 600 W
- Motherboard: Asus M5A97
- HDD: 1 x 1TB

I have run stresstests on both CPU, GPU and RAM to isolate the problem, issue is that this didn't result in anything, computer didn't crash at all. But when I started playing some games again, soon enough it happened again aswell.

In the logs I see the error codes for a lot of different things, linking the ones that gave a "critical mistake".

0x00000124
0x0000003b

Getting this one often aswell: Host synchronising_Session1-service

these errors are followed by the Kernal-Power D41 error which after this the computer reboots.

Hope you guys can help me out, I want to upgrade my desktop soon and include a Geforce 1080. I want to know what's wrong before purchasing such a new expensive setup [not sure if I want to change the CPU and MB]

EDIT: here's the minidump files

Solution
I would reset the current bios to defaults, try and boot into windows and install the windows 10 drivers for your motherboard:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97/HelpDesk_Download/

then I would update the BIOS version to a current version. (same location)

I am assuming you have a old bios version, that it is overclocked in BIOS and that your power supply is ok.

-----------
bugcheck 0x124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
system was running for 16 seconds
and the CPU shutdown the system because of a internal error:

Error Type : BUS error
Severity : Fatal
Error : BUSLG_GENERIC_ERR_*_NOTIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 6 Bank 5)

I could not read the bios info from the memory dump so I can not see if your system is being overclocked in...

(or if you have a really old bios version)

your system has a driver MxEFUF64.sysMon Aug 15 19:36:15 2011 loaded
Matrox Graphics Extio Function Upper Filter Driver
mixed in with some old drivers:
AtiPcie64.sys Wed Mar 10 06:33:45 2010
