Hi,

I am overclocking my I7 6700k to 4.5GHz using an Asrock Z170 Extreme4, Thermalright Macho Rev b and a Corsair 400C with two front mounted 140mm and one 120mm fan in the back.

Temperatures in Prime v2.8 with 1.28V (offset +50):
max. 82 °Celsius on one core. Others at 68-75 °C

Is this ok for the 6700k?

Temps read with RealTemp

Thanks!

Solution
yes these are very good temps for using P95 version 2.8, try testing with version 26.6 its what you should be using since any version later than that causes 110% workload which cause crazy high temperatures since it uses AVX stress test. you can read more about it in the Intel Temperature Guide section 13 in the CPU forums

Thank you!

I already read about Prime v2.8 being bit of a strange test.

In Games (Fallout4, BF4 MP, etc.) the temps are around 50-60 °C)
