Would i need to upgrade motherboard in order to upgrade CPU?

My current PC's specs are:

H81M-A Motherboard
Intel Pentium G3240

4GB Ram (Ordered 8GB)
Intel Graphics 4600 (Ordered GTX 750 TI)

If i want to upgrade my pentium to I3 6100
do i need to switch motherboard?

Yes, you do need a new MB and DDR4 ram.
But rather than spending on a new mb and ram you can put your money in a powerfull i5 for your current MB:

Depending on the game, the i5 will match or outperform the i3. It's a true quad-core.
