hello!

i'm upgrading my graphics card and psu and to do so, i had to purchase a new, bigger case. therefore, im gonna have to move all the components into the new one and im wondering if ill have to reinstall windows or if any of my old data will be lost in the process?

thanks for your time!

Solution
Your moving parts.... so of course you won't loose data. The only reason you would have to do a reinstall would be if you changed MOBO.

You don't have to reinstall windows. You would not be doing anything to your data in hard drive.

Just unplug(disassemble) everything, assemble it in the new case, make sure everything is correctly plugged in. Boot your system and install driver for the new graphics card. That's pretty much it.

I don't think it matters what SATA slot you put the drives in but to be safe try and put them in how they were before or at least in order.

Master HDD/SDD drive (Operating System) = SATA Slot 0
Secondary drive (junk, games and other media) = SATA Slot 1
CD/DVD drive = SATA Slot 3
