Looking for Good gaming speakers

I'd personally go to the pawn shop or thrift store and get some floor/desk/shelf speakers that are to your liking. Some of those older sets sound fantastic.
Then i'd get a mini amplifier. something like this:

That i think is the best bang for buck.
You could get a little logitech set for around the same amount, but this just gives you full sound no matter what you're doing.

dont know what break the bank is for you but a friend has these. Sound amazing for what they are. No sub so there is not a ton of bass but I would use these on a setup if I needed new speakers.
