Hi everyone! Recently I ordered new ram for my desktop with an MSI K9A2 Platinum motherboard. It's a DDR2 motherboard that supports up to 8 Gb ram and has 4 slots on it. This is the ram's description: Samsung-8GB-2X-4GB-DDR2-800-MHZ-PC2-6400-240PIN-Desktop-memory-AMD-Motherboard
When I tried installing them, my computer bluescreened after a few minutes of and said that there was a memory failure, and the memory diagnostic tool confirmed it's hardware failure.
Then I tried having only one of them installed, and my computer works fine. When I tried contacting the seller for warranty, he said, the ram is incompatible with my board and is reluctant to give me warranty. Can it be true that my computer misdiagnoses incompatibility as hardware failure?

Solution
Generally, the mobos like that will support 8GB only in a 4x2GB config, occasionally you'll get an oddball that might be able to run 4GB sticks, but have seen very few

I see. Then I'll have to try it in a new motherboard to see if it's really broken.
