I have a kind of old gigabyte ga-h61ma-d3v rev 2.1 mobo, today I have bought a corsair cx600 psu as my old psu appears to have packed up. Can anyone tell me if they are compatible please

Thanks for the quick answer. I've just got home and looking over my mobo now, it has a 4pin pci-e slot and the psu has 2x pic-e 6-pin & 8-pin. Is that not going to be an issue? Don't won't fry anything lol...

That's a nice handy little feature thank you. So now my issue is after hooking everything up again and switching on the power, the cpu fan and psu fan span briefly and then stopped, I unplugged the psu and the carefully plugged everything back in to make sure I hadn't missed something, now nothing is happening when I'm hitting the power...

I know the psu was on the blink as I had a friend test it for me, besides that it needed upgrading anyway as the old one was only 450w. As for the mobo I'm not 100% sure it's not to blame here... Everything was working last week, then one morning it didn't power on, hence the psu overhaul.

100% sure I've got it all hooked up correctly, there's only so many places the psu plugs in, also an led on my gaming headset has lit up, so there is defintley power going through it. I'd assume the mobo is screwed now, unless replacing the BIOS battery would make a difference? Lol

I have a new cpu fan, thermal cleaner and paste on thier way in the post as the old one is in a bit of a state. I guess after replacing all of that and the battery that if it still doesn't work it's time to replace the motherboard?

Just like to point out this is a 2nd hand desktop I bought cheap lol
