How does the i5 6600k perform editing in programs such as Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve? Will it be better than the AMD 8350?
Thanks!

Last I looked it up, a 8350 was nearly equivalent to a i7 4770, but it really depends. A lot of benchmarks you'll find show even a i3 ahead of an FX 6300, which really doesn't make sense right, and that's because they probably don't know that QuickSync is a Intel only feature, and the end result isn't as high quality as without.
The i5 6600k is going to do just fine, it's a better option for games too.

Here's one of the inaccurate benchmarks I'm talking about.

The FX 6300 in reality stomps that i3 6100.

The FX CPU's are still the best value workstation CPU's on the market if that's it's only purpose, provided the programs you use support multi threads.

All the best!
