So I got my new graphics card and I was wondering if my 500W corsair PSU would run it without exploding, it's an 80+ certified and has sufficient amps on the 12V rail ( It's the gigabyte version with only an 8pin connector for power ((I think))

Solution
A GIGABYTE Radeon R9 380X DirectX 12 GV-R938XG1 needs 28 amps on the 12v+ rail and at least a 500w to 550w power supply with 1 - PCIE 8 pin power connections.

Your Corsair CX500 has the power and connection to run the card.
