I used to have a static problem when i turned my audio interface (focusrite 2i2) volume up so i purchased a power distribution system and that eliminated all the hum. i recently purchased a m-audio sub to match my bx-5's and that is when the annoying "alien" like noise started occuring when i play games (CS:GO) the noise only persists when i enter a match online. i am routing the cables from my interface to sub, then from the sub out to my monitors (i believe this is called crossing over). i saw other threads saying its an interference problem with the motherboard or something like that but i am ruling that out because the problem only started happening after i started using the sub. does anyone have any tips or solutions? my pc is plugged into a wall socket and everything else is plugged into my power distributor.

The way it reads out the addition of the sub is the issue though can you you please state your full system's specs inclusive of your OS and audio equipment? To make this easier for you, you should look at your subwoofer and your monitors and see if the output impedance on your Scarlett interface is less than what your Subwoofer is pulling.
The rule of thumb with powering everything is to make sure you have your system and audio equipment all plugged into your power strip. It also looks like your wall socket is the root of all the static.
