What about RAM sizes

2*4GB sticks of HyperX DDR4 2.4 GHZ. I have those sticks occupying shared slots on my MB, if I decide to get 2*8GB sticks of the exact same spec will they work together? Of course they'll be on their own shared slots, but I didn't know if the change size would cause any issues.

Some foresight would be nice.

It shouldn't cause any problem unless you have a little brother who likes to mess up everything and break stuff

May have some issues getting them to work together if you add more later just add however much you want and sell what u have now it'll likely save you some headaches

You can try - no guarantees when mixing DRAM - even two packages of the same exact model might play nice - and might not
