I have recently purchased a HP envy 15-k208tx, and whenever i play a game on the pc it seems to freeze every say 20 seconds for about 3-5 seconds then resumes running at a stable 30-40fps until it suddenly freezes again. I have done some troubleshooting to try fix this such as unparking parked cores which someone who had very similar issue said fixed this problem, but this didn't do anything for me. My CPU i have noticed is always sitting between 40% and 90%, with Service Host: Local System (16) constantly using between 20% to 34%. I have the latest drivers installed for my GTX850m, but the driver installed came with my Windows 8.1 Recovery disks, which i used to downgrade from windows 10 to windows 8.1.
Specs are
intel Core i7 5500U @ 2.40GHz, 16GB DDR3, NVIDIA GTX 850M 4Gb.
I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit also.
Does anyone have any information about this or a solution?
