Intel i5 4460 Exceptionally High Idle Temperature

So I very recently built my computer. Everything was brand new. It's been working great except for the CPU fan being rather loud. After doing some checking, it would seem my CPU is idling at 50-70 degrees C. It would seem this is exceedingly high as in my poking, I've seen people telling of temperature woes in the 40 degree range. I'm just using the fan that came with the CPU. Am I just an idiot and should get a better cooler or was my chip just screwed from the box?
