Hi, I'm using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, am new to the idea of overclocking, and have a stock cooler. Without thinking, I changed the the processor core ratio to 46 x, 4.60 GHz, and processor cache ratio to 42 x, 4.20 GHz. My package temp. is below 60C but above 50C, fluctuating. Should I change it back to original settings where processor core ratio was 44 x, 4.40 GHz, and processor cache ratio was 42 x, 4.00 GHz?

Am i doing something foolish?

Also if you need to know my setup to help ask and I'll add it.

Solution
Before any playing as far as OCing the CPU would suggest getting a decent CPU cooler. Also do your OCing through the BIOS, the Intel Extreme Tuning thing sets voltages higher than needed
