Hey guys,
This is my current system (http://valid.x86.fr/qwgj6l) this is a link to all my specs scanned with CPU-Z
I just purchased a new graphics card - "MSI Radeon R9 390 DirectX 12 R9 390 GAMING 8G 8GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card"
Then I realized my 465w power supply couldn't handle it, so I have an 800w on the way.
Just wondering if I'm doing the right thing in upgrading like this, rather than buying a new machine. My processor can't be upgraded any more because of the 1155 LGA socket.
Do you think with this GPU and power supply upgrade ill be good for a few more years? I assumed my current graphics card was the bottleneck, but I am only an amateur enthusiast when it comes to PC parts and upgrading.
As a professional photographer I run a lot of system intensive photo editing software, and rendering previews for terabytes of high resolution photographs, I also dabble in video editing. Besides this I enjoy gaming (smoothly at high frame rates)
