Build To Beat: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/3KM3tJ

Please note that i created this build myself and its the first time I've done so. I have $880 and im buying a computer by the end of the week.

Solution
Calling us dumb won't help.

It's many poor choices. Weak CPU which will hold back that 970 in some.games.

Psu is poor quality

The 970 is an odd choice given the 1060 is out

The AMD route is a dead end

Try and base it around a i3 6100 and gtx 1060 and see where you get.

As you can tell I'm not very good at the hole computer building thing... Could you make one for me?

Hi,
I'll make a build shortly, but here's some quick comments:

1) i3-6100
2) RX-480 or GTX1060 (may have to WAIT for prices to drop, but can use iGPU from Intel CPU for now. GTX900 and earlier isn't ideal for the future due to lack of asynchronous compute hardware, and other reasons).

3) Monitors-> I would keep them the same exact MODEL for size/color/resolution etc if possible. Mixing resolutions and screen size doesn't look ideal.

4) 2xDDR3/DDR4 (single stick can cause a slight bottleneck)

5) No need (IMO) for thermal compound as the included pad or paste (depending on cooler) works just fine.

6) Uh, what EXACTLY was your budget?

*To be clear, is it $880USD after tax, shipping and rebates?

I look forward to seeing your build

With GPU that will go over $900, however...

1) I'm not comfortable recommending a cheap motherboard or power supply to get the price down. CPU cooler also raises the price; included one is sufficient to cool but can be replaced later if noise is too annoying (make sure to setup a fan profile no matter what cooler you have).

2) I can't recommend below the i3-6100 CPU, nor can I recommend AMD at all

3) the monitor seems good for the price. It's an IPS panel so has better color and viewing angles than TN. It has slight ghosting at times but my IPS is the same (7ms is my cutoff and it's rarely that obvious except mostly dark screens with moving objects). I don't think TN is worth the tradeoff.

4) *I recommend an RX-480 for about $200 when the prices stabilize. Something like an Asus Strix model with 2x6-pin, or 1x8-pin.

**Make sure the card supports the monitors you choose. THIS one for example does support 2xHDMI (monitor I chose had VGA and HDMI inputs):

Summary:
My advice is something like this, avoid cheaping out as said on critical parts.

Use the iGPU for now and buy the RX-480 later.

I appreciate your help but it just cost too much

Just say 585 PC build, easier for people to simplify it. :)
Here is what I've got for you, good quality components and great performance.
If you really want an optical drive, get the EVGA 500B and chuck one in, although it has minimal use nowadays since most stuff is digital or USB. The case supports one anyway.
