I currently have a GTX 760 2GB and am looking to upgrade to a GTX 1070.

I have noticed that the 1070 prices are still pretty high. The cheapest thing I can find a modestly OCed Gigabyte model for $400, which is still $20 above MSRP (http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814125875)

Are the prices primarily due to being overpriced or due to continuing supply issues?

It's because so many people want the GTX 1070 and the Reference design (Founders edition) sell above MSRP so as long as aftermarket cards cost less that founders, the manufacturers think they can get away with above MSRP for all cards (which majority of consumers seem to be fine with due to constantly going out of stock 1070's). I would suggest snagging that $399 one when u can, its probably going to be the cheapest 1070 for AWHILE. Or you can wait for prices to drop but that may be a couple to few months.

I am hesitant to spend $400 on a GPU. I tend to play one game at a time, and currently a console game is on the top of my list (Twilight Princess HD), so getting a GTX 1070 is not absolutely urgent. I am thinking I may hold off for a month or so.
