The first thing is that Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work. So far, no sequence works. I cannot turn the machine off. It is an Acer Switch 10 2-in-1 and has worked great. But now, spinning, spinning, spinning so I unplugged the power and will let the battery run out in the hopes of breaking the cycle of spinning, spinning, spinning. Need some real genius here!

It should turn off the power when you hold the power button for eight to ten seconds. What is spinning - the hard disk or a small blue circle where the mouse cursor should be?
If you can get it to start again, run your anti-virus utility and/or Windows Defender (in Control Panel) in case something is running in the background that you don't really want.
