I have done lots of research so please read. It may help you, help me.
My question is as follows:
1) Performance Warning with Aero Glass. Why? (I get the resource usage yadda yadda, but c'mon I can't run a nearly ten year old OS?)
2) Is any of this reasonable to consider?:
This message first (erroneously?) appeared on the day of the re-issue Get Windows 10 prep patch. (KB3035583) (the 2nd time)
With the install of GWX the .NET runtime 4.6.1 came included. It was a fair bit faster before with 4.5.2 installed.
Is Shared VRAM being allocated to the wrong card? Would that dent 4GB of VRAM?

I get this message while starting these:
Crysis 3 @ 1080 High Settings
Star Wars Battlefront @ 1440p Medium Settings
Wolfenstein The New Order @ 1440p Medium-High settings
All these games run very playable.

Just ran Crysis 3 for these screens. Also game runs great!

I have updated drivers via geforce.com/drivers
I have not tried an older seperate driver via Device Manager for the GT610

Drivers (Will add as I sort though msinfo32)
368.69 nVidia driver

Solution
your computer is perfectly capable of Aero.
I think that the issue is caused by using dual GPU.
Just to check it, connect both monitors to GTX 960 and remove the 610 from the PC.
This message should disappear.
Also, worth to check what mode you configured for dual monitor (mirror, extended or separate desktop). I guess with separate, this message should not appear.

Yeah it will run aero fine. Hell, even a Ati Radeon 7000 64MB can run Aero just great.

Disconnect that 610, it will just use up power and bandwidth. There is probably a conflict with the nVIDIA drivers. Uninstall the card, then perform a clean install on the Nvidia drivers. The issue will clear up.

That is along the lines of what I was thinking. I seem to remember that error re-appearing after plugging it in now...
Will try, then get back to you.

Just to check 1440p + 1280x1024 res wont be too much for a 960 right? would it be better if I ran a different GPU on the 2nd monitor?
