Hi guys, in the process of building a new computer, but recycling and cleaning up some of the hardware that's already installed on this current build I have at the moment. My question is simply this now if I remember correctly. The SATA data cables that came with my Asus motherboard from 2005 and my newer Asus motherboard (2011) that's currently installed on my current PC, I've made the right measurements all of these SATA cables I own are around 14-22 inches long. I do believe I have searched amazon.com and other searches via google.com and seems like the cables are all around that length. Just to make sure I have perfect clearance I would just love to get this mission out of the way and purchase a much longer SATA data cable. My current build and up and coming build are both Thermaltake chassis (Older case Tsunami Dream)|(Latest case Thermaltake Versa N21) both drives went out in my current build, the motherboard has an IDE grey ribbon, that's set up the old way, with 4-pin molex connector, and attached to the ribbon. So i replaced one of my drives which actually was a Plextor burner and it went out, i purchased an LG DVD-RW drive, and connecting the sata cable below the motherboard, and bringing the cable up at the top, which is currently installed on to the lowest 5.25" expansion bay to make sure nothing stretches and damage the mobo and other components.

And i do believe the Thermaltake Versa N21, which is for my next build. i tnink the Versa N21 could be a little taller.
And i know i am going to have trouble installing a BD-RW drive, due to the lack of cabling length, even tough the
Versa N21 has one 5.25 expansion bay, that i am going to use for a BD-RW drive, just for burning data, and installing
retail games (I'm old school!) So do any of you all know of a website that sells custom longer sata data cables?
I need it so nothing gets in the way of building my new system.

Thanks in advance guys.
I've looked everywhere and couldn't come up with a solution for this situation

Solution
Your stressing over nothing. 1 inch but the motherboard will mount higher in the top of the case, (bottom mounted power supply)
old case.
Dimensions (H x W x D)18.82" x 8.27" x 19.49"
New case. 20.2 x 8.5 x 18.2 inch)
