Will the EVGA Supernova 750G2's 8Pin EPS work on the Asus Z170 Pro gamer Board?

Question in the title

Have been searching high and low since I wasn't familiar with EPS. Some forums I hear different things about it than on other forums and it got me confused. The Z170 says in it's specs that it has a 8 pin 12V ATX connector, though the Powersupply specs says it has an EPS 8 pin connector. Will this 8pin be compatible with the motherboard?

Yes. Motherboards have two power supply connections - one 24pin to power the MB and an 8pin (sometimes 4pin on cheaper boards) to power the CPU.
