During playing COD4 (a not so taxing game on a PC) i got my first blue screen since i built the PC back in 2011. The massage flashed up something about memory before it went. My PC started turning on and off every 5 seconds so i powered off and had a look at my RAM. I have four stick of 4 GB each. I removed the stick in the 4th slot on the far right and powered up. The PC booted and i asked windows to load in normal mode. It got to the Windows loading screen and went black.

I then loaded the MSI bios and did a memory test and it passed i also check to see if the memory was detected and was the correct clock speed which it was. I was able to load up in safe mode and run a memory test from msconfig when also passed.

I removed the 3rd stick of RAM as i heard that odd pairs have issues on old boards. I repeated all above steps passing all test but windows will not get pass the loading screen. it just goes dark.

I didn't have time to try one stick at a time but if the RAM is detected and at the right speed and the memory tests are passing there should be no reason not to boot :(

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
