Hello everyone

My laptop hdd is failing and I'm trying to repair it so I can use it for a few moths until I get another.
I connected it to my desktop and it is detected in windows but when I open This PC(my computer) the hdd's partitions appear but it takes too long to show their sizes and two of them never do. and when I run windows disk management or acronis disk director they open and keep scanning for drives but never actually show any drives. also diskpart opens but not responsive.

I don't care much fro the data on the hdd so I was trying to blank out the drive and then try to repair it. but I can't even do that. Any new ideas?

Thanks in advance

Solution
May I suggest you replace the hard drive with a ssd and do a clean install of windows on it.
You can use your current activation code.
It will absolutely transform the performance of your laptop.
Probably by so much that you will not feel the need for a new one.
