I've bought new ASUS RP-N12 Wireless - N300 Repeater and after setup on my laptop, when I connect to extended wifi I've became "Limited access". I tried to configure the repeater according to option one in manual, option two and via ethernet cable and all tries ends the same result - Limited access after connecting to extended wifi. My smartphone is also unable to connect to the extended wifi.

The repeater is located about 2 meters from the router and on the place where my laptop has stable connection (to the router).

Could you please help me with the configuration? Or the problem is elswhere? :??:

Thank you a lot, I'm quite helpless...

That is a very good start for setup and trouble shooting.

The simplest way to test this and to learn the settings pages is to set it up as an access point using a ethernet cable to connect to a LAN port on the router. Then try to connect the wifi. If you can't establish the wifi from this configuration, then one has to suspect a defective unit. Call Asus technical support or return it to the store for an exchange.

If AP mode works then connect the ethernet to your computer and set it up in bridge mode. If that works then the connections are working both ways and you'll need to work on...

If AP mode works then connect the ethernet to your computer and set it up in bridge mode. If that works then the connections are working both ways and you'll need to work on understanding the repeater configuration better. Unfortunately, repeaters are neither as simple nor as effective as the promotional materials make them seem.
