So I've never ever had a tower before and I got
A dell optiplex 755 for 60$ and I was wondering what all I could buy and what not that would fit in and make it a better gaming computer. I'd like to be able to atleast play mine craft with out any problems or csgo or civilization.
I'm not a hard core gamer but like to unwind with it
I'm also on a budget so the cheaper the better!
Thanks!

Nothing will make it a gaming computer, the CPU is too weak, it can play older games from the era it was made with a video card upgrade.

For MineCraft, it will be a bit laggy since that game wants a good CPU to run well.

What exact model of the OptiPlex 755 did you get? What is the power supply wattage?

You should be able to run up to Q9650 CPU. Q9550 is cheaper and often used. GTX750 is popular due to running off of the PCIe slot so no PSU upgrade is required. If your running a 32 bit OS get 5-6GB ram for a 2GB GPU. A single fan single slot card should fit but the single fan 2 slot cards can be made to go by cutting the bracket in 1/2 and sometimes trimmimg the cover to let the air turn towards the rear vent. The GTX750 comes in EUFI and Legacy BIOS versions. I'm not sure which BIOS the 755 has but check with the Video card mfg. to see if it's compatible. You might remove thebracket to test the card first before modding it in case there's an issue.
