Setup:
ASUS Z97-A Mobo
MSI GTX 970
Corsair CX750M PSU
I've been using this setup for a little over a year with no issues, I recently updated to windows 10 for a few days and suddenly my monitor goes black, reboot, nothing, switch the HDMI cable to the iGPU and it works fine. Go into BIOS and it does not show the 970 even though the card's fans & lights are working while installed.
Could the Windows 10 update have caused issues with the card using old drivers and is my card salvageable?
What I've tried so far:
1. Updating BIOS
2. Switching the card to the other PCI slot
3. Wiping the old drivers with DDU (Computer doesn't detect card so it wont let me install the new drivers)
4. Switching back to Windows 8.1
If the computer has been off for a while (about a day) and I try to plug in the GPU and boot it will show up for about 20 seconds on screen before going black, any idea why?
