Hey, I just got my 3rd monitor, hoping to set up 3 for work, and I have a Radeon HD 6870 card. The 3 monitors are all 19" (1 dell 2 samsung) of which 2 are connected by DVI cables, and one is connected to the Mini Display Port (with a minidisplayport -> dvi adapter).
What am I doing wrong? Whenever I try to extend my displays I get an error saying that my computer is "Unable to save display settings".
I can run any 2 of the monitors together, but not all three at the same time.
My question is... Is it possible to set up 3 monitors on this one graphics card I have?
Would it be smart to buy a second used XFX Radeon HD 6870 to go with it?
If not, which graphics card would be recommended? Thanks in advance,
EDIT:
Monitor 1: DELL 1907FP 19" (DVI connected)
Monitor 2: Samsung 943B 19" (DVI connected)
Monitor 3: Samsung 943B 19" (DVI -> Mini Display Port connected)
Graphics Card: XFX Radeon HD 6870
Operating System: Windows 7
EDIT2:
My adapter is this: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F2CD029/
