I am researching a computer for my 11-year-old who wants to do some serious gaming (including recording/editing for YouTube.) Based on what I have read in the forums, most agree that building your own system is the best value, but what is recommended if that is not an option? Should I seek out someone local that could accomplish this? We have just begun researching Cyberpower, etc. Thanks in advance

That's a tough question nearly all prebuilt computers have one of three issues 1) rrrrrrrealy cheap parts other than processor/gpu. 2) reallllly lopsided (people either search by gpu or cpu so they'll have an i7 and a bargain bin GPU or a $500 gpu and a slow processor) 3) they are usually in the neighborhood of 15-20% more than what you could build it for with same crummy components, maybe 10% more than you could do it right.

That being said if you can tell us which games he'll be playing and your budget we can try to look for you?
