Hey there guys! I have a question for you. I am just now getting back into Fallout 4, and the loading times on an HDD are unbearable.. I need to get an SSD. I'm willing to spend up to $100 for something that would get my computer / Games running well.

Build:

CPU: Intel i5-4460 3.2GhZ
GPU: GTX 960 FTW 4GB
MOBO: ASUS H97M-E
CASE: Vostro 230 Original Case (Second space for another drive, 3.5 inches apart)

Thank you guys in advanced, and if I forgot anything or you need more information, please ask! I will be available the rest of the day.

Another vote for the Evo 850. Great line, and just under budget.
It should fit just fine, you'll want to get a 2.5 to 3.5 convertor tho. Something like this would work

There are cheaper options, however make sure you pick one that has the same fill size as a 3.5 drive. Dell tends to custom fit their cases to the parts, so a full size convertor should have the proper hole placement for screwing it in. The cheaper/smaller convertors usually have only 2 of the 3 side holes in place.

As for the cable, it should be fine. You can always pick up a SATA III cable when you get the drive tho just to be sure.

Thank you for the quick response! On the specs, it says that it is 2.5" wide, can i still mount it to my case? Also, I have a spare SATA cable, but I don't know if it is the correct one.

Thank you so much, man. Just one last question haha. My current spare SATA cable hooks up to my DVD Drive, and my MOBO only has two SATA ports. If I just unplug my DVD Drive and plug in the SSD, will everything- besides the DVD Drive of course- work?

Yeah should be just fine. Once you clone all your stuff, or reload the OS and programs on to the SSD (however you'd planning on doing it) I'd move the SSD on to the SATA 0 port and the second hard drive to the SATA 1 port just to make booting less of a hassle. That is assuming that the SSD is going to become the drive with the OS on it.

Thanks again, I really had no idea what to do haha. Have a good one man.

Exactly, if you decide you need that optical drive you can just add a card on later. For a quality part from a good source they run like $35. Cheaper if you don't mind rolling the dice with some random brand.

Glad to help out. Good luck with it!
