Hi guys i am not that good with pc,and i am about to buy a new pc for gaming,a friend of mine suggested me this config . is it good ? Should i Change something ? Ah ye,i got another question (sry :3 ) Will the gtx 970 fit in the zalman z11 neo ?
CPU - i5 6500
Gpu - Gtx 970 Msi 4gb
Ram -16 Gb (8x2) Kingston Hyperx ddr4 2133 mhz
PSU - Corsair CX650Watt
Hard Disk - Westernal Digital 1tb
MotherBoard - Msi H170 Gaming m3
Cooler - CoolerMaster TX3 Evo
Case - Zalman Z11 Neo

Solution

The case has a max GPU clearance of 400mm so you're fine there.

I'd look at a 1060 instead of a 270. They're about the same price right now on Newegg.

If you can, pick up an 240-250GB SSD, you'll like it and you can get good ones for under $100. The Samsung 850...

Ditch out the PSU. The CX line really doesn't have a good build quality, and you don't need a 650w with that line up, a quality 550w would do you much better. Having a quality PSU is a really important part of your build. If budget allows, these would be my two picks to choose from.

Solution

Not by much tho. For a 240/250GB you're looking at around $65 for Crucial or Sandisk, the Samsung Evo 750 comes in at $75. Even the OZC Triton 150 240GB is coming in at $63. For the performance difference, the ~$10 would be worth it.

Yeah you are right. You can save 10$ for a McDonald combo to celebrate your finished build...

Hi guys,my budget is around 1000/1100 (euro),and if u guys tell me this is enough for gaming then ill go for it,i mean i dont really need that Full hd,atm i am playin with 1024x768 almost everygame with a gtx650 i3 4130 and 8gb ram,so u can imagine how i am playing my games,in the beginning i was going for a r9 380x then i decided to remove the benq (Monitor) and i reached 300-310 for gpu and i decided to pick the gtx 970 MSI 4gb,so i dont really think ssd would fit in my budget, thats why it isnt in my config, but i dont really think i'll need it,as i said i am going to play normal games like cs go and maybe some new game like overwatch then nothing else :3 .
So can i go for it ? Another Question xD ,wich one should i choose Msi,asus or gigabyte 970 ?
Sorry if am so paranoid, but i dont want to make mistakes u know :) .

Hey man, many ppl said that the Cx650 is a good psu isn't it ?
Wich one should i get ?

The quality of the build on the CX line is pretty much the lowest end of the stick. Since you're not building till Nov, you might as well build up the ideal rig with some backups and see where prices are come Nov. Which country are you building in? We can see about putting together a more realistic price list to go from.

Absolutely wait for the 1060. It's already out, tho hard to get. But the prices for the 1060 are already roughly the price of a 970.

UPDATE : I find out this one EVGA SuperNOVA G2 PSU 650W , i could try to take this one its just 15/20 euro more than my budget !

The XFX TS is a good model, tho not modular. But it is 80+ Gold. The coil whine seems to only happen under full load, which with a 650w and those spec, isn't likely to happen. But I understand the concern. If it does, I'd send it in for a RMA refund. Amazon has a really good policy for that.

Next step up would be the XFX XTR. Fully modular kit and 80+ Gold.

I'd take either of the other to over a CS Corsair. Not as bad as a CX line, but not as good as the two above.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar at all with the Paris line up.

The Cooler Master V series is supposed to be very cool, a step above the XFX line up above. The VS series is on par with the XFX series above.

Ok recapping,i am going to play games with 1280x720 res maybe because i dont really need high res,i mean i could even play a game with low res like 1280x960,so my question is,will this cfg last for 5 years atleast .. ? Btw,i'll buy the evga :)) .
CPU - i5 6500
Gpu - Gtx 970 Msi 4gb
Ram -16 Gb (8x2) Kingston Hyperx ddr4 2133 mhz
PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA G2 PSU 650W
Hard Disk - Westernal Digital 1tb
MotherBoard - Msi H170 Gaming m3
Cooler - CoolerMaster TX3 Evo
Case - Zalman Z11 Neo

The core stuff, CPU/RAM/Mobo/PSU, that should give you a good few generations. 3-4 generations seems to be most peoples upgrade path if they don't need to be on the cutting edge. You could up the CPU to a i5-6600, but that may not be worth the cost as it is now. Video card.. maybe, maybe not. But that all depends on your gaming habitats. I'd really recommend going with a 1060 over the 970 if they're similarly priced in Italy like they are in the US.

Hi guys,it's me again,i didn't want to open another topic,so i am gonna ask it here :) .
I gotta choose the last thing for my config, wich is the Motherboard,i've find out these motherboard :
Msi h170 gaming m3 or Gigabyte GA-H170-HD3 ?
Or u guys could suggest me a better one ?
Thanks !

Of those two, the features of the H170 Gaming M3 is a bit better. Better NIC, better USB options and better sound.

I'd look at the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-H170-Gaming 3. MSI's QA motherboard seems to have some QA issues compared to Gigabyte, so I tend to learn toward Gigabyte for recommendations. In this case, the Gigabyte is also cheaper, same bells and whistles that the MSI has, plus more M.2 sockets should you ever want to go in that direction. The one big downside to the Gigabyte over the MSI is the MSI has USB 3.1 connectors. If you use them or plan to use them, then thats a nice feature. You can always add an add on card later tho if you find you want them.

These are the mobo ---> Asus H 170 Pro Gaming , Msi h170 Gaming m3,
Gigabyte GA-H170-HD3 ATX.
Atm i am using an asus h81m-a and it's a really good mobo,so i'd go for asus :3 .
