I've been trying to safely eject an external hard drive connected via usb to the pc. It fails to let me do so frequently. I've gone into event viewer > windows logs > System and then filtered by "225" and found what I think was the problem. It said process id 4 stopped the removal/ejection of the USB.
Process id 4 is system and compressed memory. Any ideas of how to clear this up so I can eject the usb in the future without having to worry about losing files again (besides restarting the computer)? Thanks in advance.
