While I was on vacation I was in a Best Buy store and ran across a EGVA GTX-960 graphic card on sale and when I got home I found that this card is 10,1 inches long and that it's too long to fit into my case. My reason for updating my card is that it's legacy hardware from Windows 7 and I've had some system crashes since I upgraded to Windows 10 during full screen video playbacks. AMD does not support the card under Windows 10 so the only driver available for it is whatever Windows 10 installed for it. My current card is about 8.5 inches long and since the 960 will not fit I was hoping that someone could recommend something that would. Note that I'm only an occasional gamer so I really didn't need the power of the 960 but it was too good a deal to turn down. I just need a quality graphics card that will fit into the space that I have available that will handle normal graphics needs to play some older games I have and playback videos on the internet..

Need a budget for you upgrades as well as the specs or model number of your power supply. However, if you feel the GTX960 is too much of a graphics card for your needs, I'd probably recommend something like the AMD R7-370 or GTX 750Ti.

While I was in town today getting a new NIC card installed I asked the Tech what he would recommend putting in my PC since the GTX-960 would not work because of the length and he suggested the EVGA GTX-950. Basically it's overkill for my needs but (A) I was going to buy the 950 to begin with until I found the 960 that was on sale (B) the GTX-950 is the same size as my old ATI Card (C) he carried the GTX-950 in stock and (D) he was willing to install it for free. Note that I had previously checked out my power supply and I already knew that it was capable of handling the GTX-950 or GTX-960 and since my old card and my new card took the six pin power connector I was good to go. I was still within the return timeframe on Best Buy's time frame on returns so I was able to get a full refund on the GTX-960 with no questions asked.
