So first of all I'm in Canada, and we get the short end of the stick when it comes to pricing.

I ordered a Gigabyte GTX 1070 Xtreme gaming GPU for $687, they are still waiting for shipment, now there is the G1 gaming available also from Gigabyte that's selling for $750. I have been putting together my own PC's for years, and even though I'm not an expert I have some understanding of how different parts work. I can't seem to find any reason why the G1 gaming should be more expensive than the Xtreme Gaming version, unless I'm missing something totally obvious. If so, please enlighten me.

The G1 gaming has a 6+2 power phase design whereas the Xtreme has a 10+2 power phase. It also has an 8+6 pin power connector as opposed to the G1's 8 pin. I believe the cooler on the Xtreme is better too. The Xtreme is basically built for extreme overclocking.
