Need a Streaming and Gaming CPU

I have been using my i5 3570k for YEARS. It's been great, but I'm looking for something new. I am into rendering videos and streaming but the i5 3570k has been lacking. When I stream my FPS drops by 100, and makes it unbearable. Rendering times are slow but still manageable. I have a GTX 970 Asus Turbo, so I am looking into the i5 4690k. Looks good for streaming and seems like it won't bottleneck. I'm just wondering, is it worth it? What CPU should I buy? I am an avid gamer and a content creator!

honestly that CPU should be fine. however if your streaming an extra couple threads might help so a i7 3770k might not be a bad idea and won't require a motherboard/ram upgrade.

It supports LGA 1155, but I am planning on getting a newer model. I will check it out though, and thanks for telling me!

I thought you didn't want a new motherboard- the next generation chips (core i7-4xxx and Xeon E3 v3) both require a new motherboard with LGA1150.

Sorry, what I meant is a new motherboard for DDR4 ram, i chose 4th gen because i dont need new ram
