Hello everyone,

a month ago my graphic card got fried together with my PSU as my pc suddenly shut down.

I now have a brand new PSU, and wanted to test the system to check if it would power on without graphic card.

The system powers on, the Motherboard seems to complete POST fine, but at the last step it hangs and the BOOT_DEVICE_LED stays solid red. At the same time nothing appears on monitor, like if it was disconnected.

I tried restarting with only 1 stick of RAM, but the same issue happens..
I tried resetting the RTC RAM using the CLRTC Jumpers on my motherboard following the manual instruction, but nothing changed...

How can I fix this, or check what is broken? Thanks a lot for the help!

Solution
Try other sata port, or sata cable, or even disconnect the SSD too, because the error will relate to the MB, sata port or the boot drive.
If the pc will boot without the boot drive, SSD, and you will try to reinstall or repaired the OS, when the pc suddenly shut down, the SSD may get damage or the OS maybe corruption.

Thank you for your help.

I tried connecting the SSD in another SATA port, but BOOT_DEVICE_LED led was still red.
I even tried booting without SSD but nothing changed, PC didn't POST, and nothing on monitor.
I even tried resetting the CMOS removing the battery, but it did not help..

I will try using a different SATA cable later.

Yes it may be.. to be sure I sent the pc to a repair service, so they will be able to tell me for sure which parts are broken.
Thanks for the help anyway!
