I have got an old hard drive probably 10 years old which has IDE connection so can i use it in motherboard which has sata connection and if it is possible will it be efficient for high graphics gaming like far cry 3, far cry 4 ?
Yes you can, but i would recommend to use the ssd only for the OS because it's so small and maybe one game and store your music , movies , downloads and any other non essential file on the external HDD.
It is possible with an adapter but i would strongly recommend you don't use it.
That drive has speeds about 10% of the speeds of a normal sata 3 hdd. DON'T USE IT FOR GAMING. Especially for high end gaming. Far Cry 4 will lag like crazy. Buy a Sata 3 HDD, they are pretty cheap nowadays.
