Water cooler needed for 2 or 3 RX 480?

My specs:
MSI Z170a gaming M5
16 gb ram ddr4
i7-6700k (with a thermaltake frio advanced fan)
Thermaltake smart se 730 watts
current gpu GTX 750 ti
case: thermaltake chaser a21

I want to upgrade for 2 or 3 RX 480s just wanted to see if i will need a water cooler for them and thx for your support

In general you´ll always be fine without a water cooler, doesnt matter if you have the reference design or a triple fan cooler
A watercooler is never necessary, but it is recommended if you plan to overclock the cards to the limit

In general: No you would not necessarily need a water cooler for these cards
But buying 2 or more GPU´s instead of one powerful gpu is not a good idea
Let´s have an example: In 2 years, your gpus dont deliver as much perfomance as you´d like
Adding another card wont really bosst your perfomance as much as a second 1080 would because
the perfomance you gain with a second or third card decreases with the amount of gpu´s

lets say if I get a 1070/1080 if in future I wanna pair 2 of these gpus should I get a water cooler or i will be fine without one
