Hi there,
I am wondering if you all could help me on an issue that is driving me mad, First of all I am experiencing some computer crashes and upon reboot I am sometimes getting the BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO blue screen on Windows 10.
First of all here is the spec's of my computer:
- Intel Core i7 6700K - Running as base clock (NEWLY INSTALLED)
- MSI Z170A GAMING M7 (NEWLY INSTALLED)
- Corsair 16GB DDR4 Vengeance LPX 3200MHz - Running at base clock 2133MHz (NEWLY INSTALLED)
- Corsair H105 CPU Cooler
- 750W Corsair Builder Series CX750M 80PLUS Bronze Modular Power Supply
- AMD XFX 290x Black Edition Graphics Card
- Crucial® MX100 256GB SATA (OS Installed)
- WD 3TB Black Hard Drive (For Games, Files etc.)
So the problem I am experiencing is some crashing (was exceptionally bad yesterday - crashing whilst in Google Chrome) so I started to investigate the problem further. What most people are saying is that it is either the registry files are damaged beyond repair or it could be a bad RAM module and here is what I have found / done so far:
- Reinstalled Windows (formatted SSD and re-installed)
- Tested the RAM via "mdsched.exe" in windows (all came back with no errors)
- Made sure all drivers / software / bios is up to date
- Tested the SSD where windows is installed via "Crucial Storage Executive"
With all of this done I had a crash this morning so I haven't managed to find the root of the problem.
I was not getting these messages before I upgraded my computer (new CPU, RAM, and MOBO) but not sure if this could be the problem or if there is something else happening. I can manage to overclock my CPU to 4.6GHz stable, anything over that becomes unstable. Also I cannot overclock my RAM either to the full 3200MHz, as on reboot I get a RAM error message and asks me to boot from floppy. Again, I am not sure this has anything to do with the BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO I am experiencing.
Any thoughts / information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
