okay im planning on buyng an MSI GTX 1080 GAMING X, but i have a problem i have 2 6 pin pcie, the card needs 1 6 pin pcie and 1 8 pin pcie, so can i use a 6 pin pcie to 8 pin pcie thingy,
im not going to overclock it so do i have enough power to use it.

i have a 700w power supply

As you're probably aware the 6pin supplies 75w while the 8pin supplies 150w power (quite the topic with the RX480 a bit ago). The 6 pin can carry more than 75w (the extra pins on the 8pin are allegedly ground), however considering the card you're buying (and its price) it is up to you if you want to take a risk. Personally if I had a 1080 budget I would add a PSU to the shopping list.

I agree with Dustybin. If you can afford to buy a GTX 1080 then you really should pair a high-end GPU with a suitable PSU.

It's not like you'll have to spend a fortune
