WD is a much better brand for most situations. if you are looking for speed use a WD Black if you don't need quite so much speed use a WD Blue they are cheaper but still very well made.

The Toshiba is a little faster and somewhat less expensive than the WD.

The cumulative reliability specs 2013-2016 are a little better for Toshiba.
