Uppgrade time! (Total renovation)
Lately I have been having stuggles with memory leak and general tardiness from my computer. Im also dissatisfied with the noise from the old aircooling fans.

My current specs are :
CPU
Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. Z87-K (Socket 1150)
Graphic card
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
CPU Cooling
Don't know, don't care. Make it disappear!
Power Supply
Cooler Master Thunder 600W

I have been looking at different options and solutions for better memory which in the end made me come to the decision of getting a new motherboard. Therefore these are the new specs im interested in seeing as I have set my budget to 980 £.

CPU
Intel Core i5-6600K 3.50GHz, LGA 1151, Skylake - 204 £
Motherboard
ASUS B150-PRO, Socket 1151 - 97£
or
Gigabyte GA-Z170-Gaming K3 ATX, Socket 1151- 107 £
RAM
Kingstone HyperX Fury Black DDR4 PC 17000/2133MHz (2x8GB) - 62 £ (Not changing)
Graphic card
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW - 490£

Now for the CPU Cooling im interested in something silent yet efficent at a nice price. I have read through a ton of reviews but everyone seems to be different when it comes to noise. Lets say Im a really picky person, and I want it as silent as possible. What would you recommend?

Second question is about the power supply and wether to keep it or not. Is 600W enough for the graphic card?

Last question is regarding the motherboard which is the better option. I was initially set on the Gigabyte GA-Z170 but was informed by a technician that ASUS is generally "safer" option. What would you choose?

Now can you make a more powerful spec option on a smaller budget?

Solution
The B150 mobo wont allow the processor to overclock, so the Z170 is the obvious option. 600w is enough but the quality of the power supply is not.

The difference between the your current cpu and the i5 6600k is just not enough to justify a whole upgrade. If you want to increase general PC speed, get an SSD. And if your dead set on getting a new cpu/mobo/ram, get an i7 6700k.
