I agree with ^, an i5/or i7 that's compatible with ur board is the best budget option to upgrade your CPU. If u can find some i5 3xxx 2n hand at a good price go for it. I suggest the top tier ones but not the k ones (as I don't think ur motherboard supports nice overclocking anyways).
By the way, for gaming performance a new GPU would be a more noticeable upgrade than a CPU upgrade, in my opinion.
