Hey everyone, so what has happened in that past few days, is I decided to take apart my Alienware x51 r2 and move it into the NZXT s340 case. This was my first computer "build" ever, and I'm fairly positive that I've connected everything properly. I bought a new power supply (Corsair 450cx) which seems to be bad from what I've read. But I've plugged it all in and there is no sign of power whenever I try turning it on. The Alienware case had a strange power board that wont work in this case anymore, and I was hoping that some of you could help me see whats wrong.

The first issue you brought up was to transplant a pre built system's innards to an aftermarket chassis. In doing so you missed the point about the parts in a prebuilt, that too an Alienware, has some proprietary parts. If I were you, I'd return the innards back to the original case and see if they power up since yes the CX unit you've stated is a horrible unit though that will also depend on which version of the CX you have...is it with a green labeling on it's side? Another thing to note, is your system's specs, are your sure you picked up the right amount of wattage for your (transplanted) system?

Might I ask why you'd go ahead with using a bad PSU in spite of reading bad things about it?
