If you are getting a 480, I would certainly make sure it's a non-reference 8 pin model. AMD did issue a fix but we are still seeing this happen.

The Asus seems like a good one. Here's my issue tho....

But the Asus Strix 480 is $259 .... and at that price it just not an attractive option from a bang for the buck standpoint, there's non-reference 1060s out there for less. The reference 1060 is 10% faster then the reference 480 ... bit if you overclock, the non-reference 1080 is 24% faster than the non-reference 480 in Techpowerups 16 game test suite.

If ya play at 1080p and don't overclock, the MSRP of the $199 reference card is attractive. If you see non-reference 8 pin...
