Hi all. I currently have a 980ti running. I am purely after best 4k FPS Max settings.

My build is i7 5820k
32gb ddr4 3200
Ssd and usuals
750w platinum

My main question is that as the 1080 is currently running a decent jump of fps in 4k is it worth me going to 980ti sli or should i just grab a new titan x when its out in few days as they claim 40% performance boost on even 1080 although i know this will end up at around 20 to 25% boost.

I have no interest in some 1080ti coming in a few months.

Thanks

Because I have seen that the titan x is 25% better than the 1080. 2x 980ti should be a little bit better than the titan x but remember one card is always better than two . I would go for the titan x. :D hope this helped.

I'd go titan X pascal if you have the cash. I am waiting for the GTX 1080 ti mainly cause I can't afford 2 titan X's and I'll likely need 2 1080 Ti's because of the level of AA and filtering I like to use. I am also gaming 4K but on a UHDTV so AA is more an issue then on smaller panels.

Wait for benchmarks to come out after the release. Then decide what to buy.
